1- Tehmina Durrani
Tehmina Durrani is all in one. And she is among the top Pakistani writers, an artist, women and children’s rights activists, and a humanitarian. Durrani belongs to a very influential Pakistani family, and her parents brought her up in Lahore’s privileged milieu. And this woman of substance became the talk of the town when she debuted her first book My Feudal Lord. That is to say, My Feudal Lord basically exposed her abusive husband Ghulam Mustafa Khar an eminent figure in politics. This book shook conservative societies because of her ardent belief in women’s rights.

That is to say, people have translated Hamid’s literary works into 35 languages, and they have made it to various bestseller lists.
3- Kamila Shamsie
Kamila Shamsie was born in the industrial city of Karachi. And she has written over 8 novels including Burnt Shadows. In other words, Burnt Shadows made it to the international scene, and people translated it into 20 languages. Also, she wrote a non-fiction book called Offence: The Muslim Case. And her A God in Every Stone got shortlisted for Walter Scott Prize and for the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2015. 4- Musharraf Ali Farooqi
Musharraf Ali Farooqi was born in Hyderabad, Sindh Pakistan. And he is a folklorist, author, storyteller, founder and editor of the Urdu Thesaurus. That is to say, he has penned down 7 fictional novels in Urdu and English both. And people critically acclaim him for his Between Clay and Dust and The Story of a Widow. Bapsi Sidwa was born in Karachi, and she is an award-winning Pakistani novelist. And this Pakistan’s leading diaspora writer has written 4 novels in English. Also, these novels show her personal experience of the sub-continent, immigration to the United States, the Parsi community, and abuse against women.
6- Mohammed Hanif
Mohammed Hanif was born in Okara. And he has written 3 critically acclaimed novels called A Case of Exploding Mangoes, The Baloch Who Is Not Missing and Others Who Are, and Our Lady of Alice Bhatti. Also, I am reading his Red Birds these days which has been beyond amazing so far.
