Be it studies, work, or household chores time management is a very important resource that needs to be used wisely. The million-dollar question: What is time management? Simple, accomplishing more in less time. Being aware of every minute of your day improves your productivity. Time can be managed easily with some useful tips.

Some Useful Tips for Time Management

1- Keep a Check

You need to know where you are spending your time. Time spent doodling in your notebook or thinking about what to make for dinner might just be 10 to 15 minutes, but it can take up more than an hour during the day.

2- Create a To-do List

Make a list first thing in the morning or the last thing before you go to bed. All the things that you need to be done during the day or before bedtime. It will save time thinking about what was supposed to be done, with the list you will be ready to start.

3- Prioritize Your Activities

Do the difficult tasks early in the morning when you are chirpy. As the day passed, and you begin getting tired, chances that the particular task will be shifted to the next day are very likely. Hence killing the purpose of your to-do list.

4- Set a Timer

Every job or activity should be assigned an approximate time in which you try your level best to complete it, give or take a few minutes.

5- Ask for Help if Needed

Don’t try to do everything by yourself. Ask your kids or any family member to help out with folding laundry or cutting up veggies.

6- Avoid Multi-tasking

Finish what you start, that is why time should be allotted for each task. If you leave the kitchen to make the beds, then leave that halfway to pull clothes out of the dryer, you will never get anything done. Each errand is going to end up taking more time.

7- Avoid Perfection

Don’t let perfection get in the way of your good work; if you start analyzing your work from a professional point of view you might never be good enough for yourself and you might just as well kiss your day goodbye.

8- Don’t Exert Yourself

Don’t try to drive yourself into the ground, thinking that you will take a break once it’s all done. No, take breathers in between or else you will be wiped out before the work is done.

With these time management tips try to stay at your best pace and have fun!!
