In my view, everyone has their own style of speaking and their own language or culture. But the most confusing is the English spelling system has been the subject of much discussion and ridicule over the centuries, similarly from learners and native speakers.

English is different and has different levels of difficulty. Written English is almost identical everywhere even though spoken English differs slightly from place to place for effective communication.

It also has dialects, sounds, idioms, etc. It is also about catching different pronunciations and accents where speakers get stuck and feel unconfident. I think this is a great advantage for a second language learner of English as there are many different customs.

English is so widespread mainly due to how it evolved as a language over the centuries.

There are several countries, which should be considered as the standard. Language changes across distances, and in many domains. Its evolution entails geopolitical, linguistic, and historical factors that go beyond this question.

I believe, a constantly developed language that makes it difficult even for an English speaker in some respects. Whether it is easy or hard depends on what you want from it.

Being a teacher, one understands the different learning abilities and capacities of the students. I feel that students are unable to pronounce the words accurately, even then at the secondary level of education. However, a hesitant attitude made them helpless to overcome their weakness in speaking English as a second language.

On other hand, so many children learn English easily in an environment where language is in contact, is close at hand and exposure is high. Therefore, we can say that the English spelling system has been so challenging.
