It all began with the Pandemic and the luxury of spare time when I began investing my time in Makeup Masterclasses where I learned Why My Skin Is So Unhappy and what I can do to help it? Your skin is the largest, most essential, and most ignored organ of our body. Like other organs, it reacts to stress, anxiety, pollution, sun exposure, and chemicals.

So, what can we do to make it THANKS us!

The magic word is developing a Skincare routine. A Regimen if followed religiously can save us from skin damage and premature aging. Here are some skincare routine steps you can do to revitalize your skin and age gracefully.

Two-Step Hydration

Everything that shows up on your face has its root in your Gut. Hence, drinking plenty of water can start flushing those nasty toxins out of your system that causes different skin conditions and make your skin look dehydrated.

The second step in hydration is using hydrating Serum like Hyaluronic Acid Serum which suits most skin types and has anti-wrinkle and healing properties.

Keep Calm and Change your lifestyle

For your skin to breathe you need to include meditation for anxiety and to destress yourself. Stress and Skin health are interconnected, especially if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin you must have experienced the untimely acne that pops up on your skin just before a big event. It is because you are obsessing over it way too much. For your skin to revive itself, invest your time in healing, and adopt an active and healthy lifestyle.

Remove that Make-up!

Being a Makeup Enthusiast, I have spent less time removing my makeup than applying it. But while honing my makeup skills this year, I learned how crucial it is to remove your makeup properly for your skin’s good health because no one likes clogged pores.

Start with a double cleanse. The benefits of double cleansing are numerous. You can use Organic Coconut oil or Cleansing balms to break down those layers of makeup. Most waterproof and long-wearing formulas need oil-based cleansers to be removed properly.

The second step would be using Micellar water on a cotton pad to remove left-over makeup and follow it with a gentle face wash.

Once done, now we can follow the rest of our AM/ PM skincare routine steps which involve:

  • Toning (Organic Rosewater/Other products)
  • Serums (Antioxidant serums if you use any Hyaluronic Acid Serum)
  • Spot treatment
  • Moisturize
  • Now I cannot stress enough the importance of Good SPF 50 Sunscreen. Your Skin gets all that pigmentation mainly because you did not shield it from Sun exposure. Darling, Get that sunscreen on!

Follow this proven skincare routine to boot and see the results for yourself. My skin’s condition has improved so much this year, I experience lesser acne, and am no longer sunburnt and the open pores are improving too.
